I was raised in Salvador, Bahia (Brazil) and moved to United States back in 1999 with my family.

I cannot remember a time where art wasn’t part of my up bringing. My true passion was watching all types of cartoons, movies and then later get my drawing pad to begin recreating all those characters with ease. This love for art led me into making caricatures of my friends and family and later digital illustration.

Naturally, it evolved into graphic design, hyper-realistic vector illustrations which then opened doors for something much deeper.

The world of website design only began in the early 2000s and soon after I graduated from Katherine Gibbs College of Boston, I had to jump in the wagon to learn HTML and CSS to then launching my very first website, all in a matter of two short weeks.

How It All Began

This is where my “user experience obsession” came into play. I’d spend hours, days, weeks and months, trying to figure out “why users did A or B” and what the best solution for “problem C” was. I was hooked and my product design journey just evolved from this point forward.

Over the past 20 years, I’ve had the opportunity to be part of some major projects and in various types of industries, building beautiful and impactful experiences to both early stage startups as well as large corporations.

Whichever project and task I got involved in, my focus was to combine product design and creative strategy to deliver delightful experiences – let’s solve it together!

What’s Happening Now?

I currently serve as a product and design leader focusing on driving product strategy and crafting seamless digital experiences across proprietary applications and platforms. I’m always passionate about delightful designs, team growth and mentorship and I take pride in fostering innovation, guiding designers in their professional development.

In addition to leading and contributing, I’ve been invited to share my experience with different teams and mentor other designers in the process, which I also really enjoy.

When Not Designing

You will certainly find me dedicating my life to my faith, wife, our three beautiful children, taking photos, singing, playing drums, making art on my iPad, occasionally building furniture for the house, playing tennis, volley, soccer, swimming and cooking a mean Brazilian style BBQ.
